Click here for more infoReye's syndrome: Children and teenagers who have or are recovering from chicken pox or flu-like symptoms should not use this product. When using this product, if changes in behavior with nausea and vomiting occur, consult a doctor because these symptoms could be an early sign of Reye's syndrome, a rare but serious illness. Allergy alert: Magnesium saicylate may cause a severe allergic reaction which may include hives, facial swelling, asthma (wheezing), shock. Alcohol warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take magnesium salicylate or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Magnesium salicylate may cause stomach bleeding. Persons with kidney disease, or persons on a magnesium-restricted diet should consult a doctor before using. Do not use if you are allergic to salicylates (including aspirin). Ask a doctor before use if you have: asthma, stomach problems (such as heartburn, upset stomach or stomach pain) that persists or recur, ulcers, bleeding problems, kidney disease. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking a prescription drug for anticoagulation (thinning of the blood), diabetes, gout or arthritis. Stop use and ask a doctor if: product has been used for 10 days; ringing in the ears or a loss of hearing occurs; pain persists or gets worse; new symptoms occur; redness or swelling is present. These could be signs of a serious condition. As with any drug, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, seek the advice of a health professional before using this product. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact Poison Control Center right away. hide |
